
First model I’ve spent a lot of time on since taking quite a long break from painting.
Let's begin with a Vampire pun...Like most hobbyists with a pulse I was instantly interested in Cursed City when it was previewed on one of the Warhammer TV preview shows. There's been a lot of negativity surrounding the release, but I don't think that killed enthusiasm for the boxed set - whether you're interested in the lore and back-story, the game side or painting the miniatures.
I bought the Lake-town house set on the weekend of release, when I was still foolishly aiming to own everything Games Workshop had produced for Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit. I bashed it together without any thought, didn’t attach half the bits and left some unsightly gaps and sprayed it with some leftover Mournfang Brown spray – I don’t even think they make this any more...
The only Blood Bowl teams I’ve painted before were my failed goblin team – I finished one miniature – and an Undead team I painted on commission.
